Nationality adjective formation (nisba): مِصر → مِصري/مِصريَّة، السعودية → سعودي/سعوديَّة، المغرب → مَغرِبي/مَغرِبيَّة. Some countries have irregular nationalities: لُبنان → لُبناني. Past tense applied to historical context: نشَأت الحضارة العربية في... (Arab civilisation arose in...), اتَّسع نفوذ... (the influence of... expanded). Present tense for current realities: تُهيمِن العربية على... (Arabic dominates...). This deliberate tense mixing applies D5 past tense to a new content area immediately.
