Listening strategy: cultural topics introduce high-frequency specialist vocabulary (ضيافة، تضامن، صيام، عيدية) — students must have drilled these to recognise them at speed. Tense identification remains critical: in cultural descriptions, speakers often switch between past (personal experience), present (general customs), and future (predictions/hopes) within a single speech — students must track these shifts.
