Part A — Listening (20 marks)

Three listening texts played twice each. Text 1: Karim, 13, Moroccan, speaks Arabic and French — 6 multiple choice questions (12 marks). Text 2: Leila, 11, British-Lebanese — 4 true/false statements (4 marks). Text 3: Two friends introducing themselves — matching task: person → detail (4 marks). You work in silence. Listen as the text is read or plays each text at natural speed, pauses, then repeats.

Part B — Reading and Writing (30 marks)

Reading (10 marks): A 60-word personal profile (partly vowelled). Questions: ما اسمه؟ كم عمره؟ ما جنسيته؟ أين يعيش؟ ما اللغات التي يتكلَّمها؟ هل هو طالب؟ — 6 questions × 1–2 marks each. Writing (20 marks): Q1 — Complete a personal ID form in Arabic (name, age, nationality, language — 5 items × 1 mark = 5 marks). Q2 — Write a personal introduction of 50–70 words using all F2 structures (15 marks: 5 marks task completion, 5 marks range of structures, 5 marks accuracy).

Part C — Speaking (10 marks)

While Complete written parts, your partner calls you individually for a 90-second speaking assessment. your partner asks 4 questions: "ما اسمك؟ كم عمرك؟ من أين أنت؟ ما اللغات التي تتكلَّمها؟" Marked: communication (5 marks) and accuracy (5 marks) using a simplified version of the IGCSE speaking mark scheme. Heritage extension: additional question "صِف صَديقاً لك" (describe a friend).

Reflection and preview

Complete one sentence on a slip: "In F2 I am most proud of.. and I want to improve my.." Coming next: "F3 — My Family and Home. You will describe your house, your family, colours and more. All the personal information from Units 1 and 2 will keep being used." Return marked assessments with written comments within 2 lessons.
