Submit portfolio piece + vocabulary self-test
You submit their final extended writing from Lesson 9 homework. Quick 15-word vocabulary self-test (teacher or partner says English, Write Arabic — covering family members, rooms, furniture, colours, neighbourhood places). Self-mark immediately. Identify their 3 weakest words and write them 5 times. teacher or partner scans the room — note You with widespread gaps for targeted support.
Error correction — F3 focus
10 sentences with F3 errors: 1) غرفة النوم قريب من المطبخ (agreement error — قريبة). 2) في بيتي يوجَد حديقة (توجَد — garden is feminine). 3) الستارة أزرق (colour agreement — زرقاء). 4) عندي ثلاثة غرف نوم (number-noun agreement — ثلاث). 5) شعرها بني وعيونها خضراء (correct — discuss why). 6) اسمه أمي كريمة (possessive error — اسمها). 7) أسكن في شقة الكبيرة (definite adjective error — شقة كبيرة). 8) بيتي على يمين المدرسة (should be — على اليمين من). Pairs discuss and correct. Go through together — explain rule for each.
Speaking preparation — topic conversation
The F3 assessment will include a topic conversation on "My Home and Family" (Paper 3 format). Give You the topic conversation question card: 1) صِف بيتك. 2) ما هي غرفتك المفضلة؟ لماذا؟ 3) صِف عائلتك. 4) هل تحب حيَّك؟ لماذا؟ 5) ما الذي يوجَد بجانب بيتك؟ You prepare answers (notes allowed, not full script). Practise in pairs: Student A asks questions, Student B answers (2 minutes). Swap. Then teacher or partner takes 4 You for a practice run — class observes and gives feedback.
Final vocabulary consolidation
Complete a F3 vocabulary map in their books — a spider diagram with "البيت والعائلة" in the centre, branching to: family members, rooms, furniture, colours, neighbourhood, appliances. Fill as many branches as possible from memory. Compare with a partner — add any missed words. This creates a personal revision resource for the assessment.
Assessment preview and Q&A

Distribute assessment checklist — You rate their own confidence for each section (green/amber/red). Red areas = 20 minutes of targeted revision tonight. You share one thing they feel most confident about: "أنا واثق من..." and one area: "أريد أن أتدرب على..."
